Work-Life-Balance
“There’s no such thing as work-life balance. There are work-life choices, and you make them, and they have consequences.” — Jack Welch
Work-Life-Balance – Having had a long career of over two decades I can for sure vouch that work & life are not 2 different aspects of any person. They just overlap all the time. A balance starts first at mind level with acceptance that life & work are interwound. There are times when work takes precedence and certain times our personal life.! Balance is about understanding when work is demanding & when life is – then providing space for them appropriately. Do not get tricked that everything has to be handled alone.
Mark some personal time. If you cannot take out time every single day, at least an hour over the weekends. Unwind by doing things you feel good about. Dairy writing, Visiting a Spa, cleaning the home clutter, listening to music, taking a long walk alone, Driving for a few hours, watching some series, blogging, uploading some reels and shorts to your social media account, there are several ways to spend ‘Me time’ and chose what’s yours.
I personally took a lot of support from my parents while raising my kids. Seek help, arrange a support system for yourself- Always remember “This too shall pass”. Take small steps, one at a time! You shall succeed
